I honesty don’t know how I haven’t done a Karin Slaughter review, probably because she hasn’t released a new book since this one. But you know I have already pre-ordered “The Good Daughter” because if you can’t tell by now, I am a HUGE Slaughter fan!! I have read every single one of the Will Trent novels as well as all of her stand alone’s. I cannot rave about this author enough, she is the reason I started getting back into reading as much as I do now and just like Gillian Flynn, I too will “follow her anywhere”.

If you haven’t heard of or started to read the Will Trent series I would highly suggest starting with the first novel “Triptych”. All of her books in the series are written so that you can any of them up and be up to speed but I promise, if you start with the first one you will appreciate the story so much more. The way she has been able to connect all of these books together is my favorite thing about them. But, let’s get to the review of just this book before I write my life away talking about how wonderful Karin Slaughter is..

Okay, this book is mostly formed around Angie (ew), which I hated at first but I ended up loving the fact the KS finally bought the situation between her and Will to a head and forced them to duke it out. We have all seen Will angry but this book will show you a whole new side to him that will make you love him even more than you already did. i wish I could write what I disliked about this book but I honestly can’t think of one thing other than why hasn’t another book been released?! I’m so ready for the end of Angie but then again I’m like, “GIVE ME MORE!!!” This is the most spoiler free I can give you but if you have read feel free to message me on here or Instagram so that we can talk about how amazing this book is!!

Also, for those who live in CA, Karin Slaughter will be in Corte Madera on August 29th for a book signing to promote “The Good Daughter” release. I will more than likely post about this again but mark your calendars because I can’t wait to meet my favorite author and some of my followers!!

“Reading is not just an escape. It is access to a better way of life.”
